Equipment

  • 1 Jar or Container

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fresh Basil Leaves packed
  • ¼ cup Pine Nuts or Walnuts (we prefer pine nuts)
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 ½ cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • ½ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil (not infused)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Cannabis-Infused Oil or Butter dosage according to preference

Instructions

  • In a food processor or blender, combine the fresh basil leaves, pine nuts or walnuts, and garlic cloves. Pulse until the ingredients are finely chopped and well combined.
  • Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the mixture and pulse again until it is incorporated into the sauce.
  • With the food processor or blender running, slowly drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil until the pesto reaches your desired consistency. If you prefer a thinner sauce, add more olive oil; if you prefer a thicker sauce, add less.
  • Season the pesto with salt and pepper to taste and give it a quick pulse to mix in the seasoning.
  • Slowly pour in the cannabis-infused oil or add small pieces of cannabis-infused butter into the food processor or blender while it’s running. This will evenly distribute the cannabis throughout the pesto, ensuring a consistent infusion.
  • Once you’re satisfied with the potency of your cannabis pesto, transfer it to a jar or container and store it in the refrigerator for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
